[ First Impressions ]
I was never an Audi A4 person. Whenever an A4 passes me, I never bother to turn my head and give it a glance. But one thing I like was the Audi Sports Kit. The trimmings and face of the car staring at you, over time that look grew fonder in my heart.
Of course, not all cars are perfect. I came across a number of customers who had bad issues with their Audi and that became a legitimate worry because I have never owned an Audi but I adore some of the other models, notably the R8.
In my industry and amongst Singaporeans, the fear of owning an Audi due to its “slightly” bad rep is real especially when someone is looking for an entry Conti car, some customers even rejected the suggestion of an Audi.
So when this car was offered to me to review, I was skeptical. But as a consultant, I had to remove any biasness and talk about the car as honestly as I can.
[ The First Drive ]
Guys, I am going to be real with you. Getting in this car is not exactly a red carpet experience. There’s no fancy beep, no Audi logo lighting beneath the door. But the door feels solid so that’s a plus?
The first touch of Audi’s leather and microfiber Dinamica combination caught my attention. It is not top of the line luxury leather but it certainly did not feel cheap. But I got a little disappointed because this A4’s Head Unit Screen does not fit well with the carpentry. It felt like a screen just pasted it right in the middle.

During my first drive in this A4, the fear and complaints of owning an Audi was creeping at the back of my mind and I was trying to find something to complain about. And yet after 20mins, I am pretty satisfied that this Conti still holds its own value well. Very well.
The torque is better than most entry level conti and this is a Mild Hybrid. Which means it saves you some petrol. We all know how expensive petrol is in 2026.

Sure, there are some valid concerns which I will address later but my first impressions:  Great sound insulation and a smooth driving experience on expressways!
[ Real Comparisons, Real Conversation ]
As a consumer and buyer, I know for a fact that the Audi A4 is not going to be your FIRST PICK of the draft when it comes to entry level Conti cars.
The Audi A4 is primarily compared to other German luxury compact executive cars, with the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class being its number 1 competitors.
But when it comes to fuel efficiency and fuel saving, the BMW 3 series doesn’t even come close against the A4 and C Class’s mild hybrid system. On the other hand, the C Class is using a 1.5liter engine.
Between the test drives, I had an honest conversation with my friend. The C Class is indeed a tough competitor to the A4. But for car ownership in Singapore, we want to make the best use of it, considering we paid so much for a vehicle. Personally, I love going on road trips and in that moment I just envisioned myself driving a C Class to KL, I would worry. The anxiety and stress about bumps, scratches, hit-and-runs. Yeah, no way.

But this A4? Easy decision. Not a single worry from Woodlands checkpoint all the way to KL , Penang or anywhere in Malaysia.
[ Buy, or Not ]
The question we need an answer to: Would you want an A4. Should you want this A4?
If you are looking to purchase your first Conti car or you are in the market to purchase a budget friendly pre-owned sedan, this A4 is actually a good choice.
As consultants and reviewers, we will be honest with potential buyers about the Audi’s notorious wear and tear issue. Over time, we are always so glad that most buyers do their research in understanding a German car ( just like BMW and Mercedes ), are built for different weather and conditions.
Singapore is so hot and humid, along with the intense amount of traffic lights, the tires, brakes and other parts naturally get abused on a high frequency.
What I love to tell my clients and potential buyers is: “Just do your best and take care of the car like your wife. Cars also need a lot of care. And why worry if me and my company can give you a good warranty package!”
Boom. Sold. It really can be fuss-free and worry-free once you do some research and paired along with a well thought out warranty package that addresses your concerns from us.
So if you’re in the market looking for a budget friendly pre-owned Audi A4, this is it! We are pricing this at $167,800 for a limited time and we’d love to have you come down for a test drive!
